About Nordic Hunter
My name is Charlotte and my kennel Nordic Hunter (FCI prefix) currently consists of 2 labradors; Lisa and Mali and occational other dogs in training. I train my dogs for trials and shooting, and used them for the first time during pigeon shooting in 2011. I can judge qualifying tests for B-prøve/cold game tests.
Labradors come in different colors and shapes but the end of the day, a good dog is a good dog - no matter size or color. At Nordic Hunter we appreciate more than anything hunting ability combined with strength, will, of course mental and physical health. When shooting over a dog, you need a dog to rely on who is soft at heel, handles well and never quits when hitting an area with game scent.

Puppies and dogs for sale
We currently do not have any puppies for sale, but for future litters you should be aware of our preferences. For us, the labrador is a gundog and we will do our outmost to keep the breeds skills and qualities. A part of keeping it's qualities is to sell the dogs to the right people, who are genuinly interested in the breed like we are.
Training, weekend class and seminars
We arrange 1-2 seminars each year where we fly in the best trainers from Europe and UK. We live in a country up north which is partly isolated from rest of Europe and we feel it's important to keep up to date with training methods, trial regulations and general knowledge. In order to do this, we travel abroad for competitions and we make sure to get the best trainers to Norway every year.
2009: Birgitta Staflund-Wiberg from kennel Meadowlark, Sweden was here for a weekend class
2010: Keith Mathews from kennel Copperbirch, Nothern Ireland was here for 3 days of training and a WT. Later on that year, Birgitta Staflund-Wiberg was here yet again for a much wanted weekend class.
2011: Roger Phillips from kennel Lakedown, Wales was here together with his co-instructor Michael Rees Larkin for a weekend class in June. In August, our friend Keith Mathews returned to freshen up our dogs (much needed).
We have also had the pleasure of having Stefano Martinoli (kennel Waterfriend, Italy) here, Graham Stephenson (kennel Rhypyker, UK), Mike Newsam (UK) and John Lightowler (UK) to mention some, organized by Erling Skotner.
In addition of arranging classes with external instructors, I am also available for teaching classes or one-on-one training myself. Conctact me for a quote and information.
